Quartz With Major Anthraxolite From Herkimer New York

While there are a few very tiny Herkimer "diamonds" on this specimen the vast majority are normal quartz on matrix. The Anthraxolite is a carbon mineral that is most common as an inclusion in the quartz but this particular specimen it is mostly an exterior growth.
