Pink Dolomite with Marcasite

From the old Cane Creek Quarry in Butler County Missouri. Unfortunately this pink dolomite locality has been closed for several years after vandalism issues. There is still some that come from the surrounding areas, but rarely as nice as these specimens. Dolomite can be a beautiful mineral and this one exhibits rhombohedral crystals and hoppers. Very nice!
