This petrified wood is harvested outside of a flood plain that collected and preserved wood. The petrified wood is an extinct conifer species ( Araucarioxylon arizonicum) and this specimen is roughly 225 million years old! Wow! Petrified wood makes a great conversational piece and statement piece. This is a limb cast.
