Chondrite (L6) Meteorite Slice (6.9 grams) - August 26 2018

This is a piece of a witnessed meteorite event that occurred in Gharyan Libya on August 26 2018. It is an L6 Chondrite, meaning it has a relatively low iron content. Though you can certainly see the iron flakes as you move the piece around. What makes this specimen especially wonderful is the large fusion line you see in the middle of the slice.
