Aurichalcite is a secondary mineral of zinc and copper that can form in oxidation zones when the two parent minerals are present. The name "aurichalcite" is derived from the Latin word "aurichalcum". Which was described as "brass-like". Since aurichalcite is a mix of brass' constituent components, the name makes a ton of sense!
